The projects are to be developed at a cost of \u20b924,634 cr by 2030-2031.The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,has approved Four projects of Ministry of Railways with total cost of Rs. 24,634 crore (approx.). These projects include:<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"391\" data-end=\"613\"><strong>Four States to Get New Rail Lines After\u00a0Union Cabinet\u00a0Approval<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Wardha &#8211; Bhusawal &#8211; 3rd &amp; 4th line &#8211; 314 kms (Maharashtra)<br data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"676\" \/>Gondia &#8211; Dongargarh &#8211; 4th line &#8211; 84 kms (Maharashtra &amp; Chhattisgarh)<br data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"747\" \/>Vadodara &#8211; Ratlam &#8211; 3rd &amp; 4th line &#8211; 259 kms (Gujarat &amp; Madhya Pradesh)<br data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"821\" \/>Itarsi &#8211; Bhopal &#8211; Bina 4th line \u2013 237 kms. (Madhya Pradesh)<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"1073\">The four projects covering 18 Districts across the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 894 Kms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"1073\"><strong>How New Rail Projects Will Improve Train Travel and Boost Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1542\">These multi-tracking projects are an important step towards strengthening India\u2019s railway infrastructure. By adding third and fourth lines on busy routes, Indian Railways will be able to run more passenger and freight trains smoothly. This will help reduce delays, ease congestion, and improve overall train punctuality. These union cabinet approves these routes that pass through industrial, agricultural, and mineral-rich regions. With improved rail lines, transportation of goods such as coal, cement, food grains, and other essential items will become faster and more cost-effective. This will benefit industries, farmers, and traders while also helping reduce pressure on road transport.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2454\" data-end=\"2744\">The projects are planned on PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan with focus on enhancing multi-modal connectivity &amp; logistic efficiency through integrated planning and stakeholder consultations.
