Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan train at the KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru on Friday. In this way, Karnataka is the first state in the country to take on this train in the Bharat Gaurav scheme. Karnataka government as well as officials from the Ministry of Railways are working together to transport the pilgrims of Karnataka across the country to Kashi.

The train will operate from Bangalore and Varanasi through Hubballi, Belagavi, Miraj, and Pune with stops between Ayodhya in addition to Prayagraj.

The pilgrims will be offered comfort and assistance for their journey to Kashi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj,” the PMO announced.

Places in Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan Train’s Itinerary

The places and destinations in the train’s itinerary include:

Varanasi: Tulsi Manas Temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and Ganga Aarti

Ayodhya: Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, and Saryu Ghat

Prayagraj: Ganga-Yamuna Sangam and Hanuman Temple

The Kashi darshan train will provide a boost to the tourism industry for religious reasons by assisting devotees, pilgrims, and people from North Karnataka. It will provide an easy and comfortable rail journey and boarding, staying and darshan services in one package that is all-inclusive, the Ministry of Railway said.

The package includes accommodation, food in train as well as darshan. The seven-day trip costs 20000, however, there is a discount of Rs 5,000. Muzrai’s department will provide discounts of Rs 5,000 for pilgrims. The Karnataka government will provide cash assistance of Rs 5,000 for pilgrims on the Kashi Vishwanath Yatra.

The Prime Minister, who was in the capital of the state for an array of inaugurations as well as other functions was welcomed with great fanfare.

He also paid flower respects to statues honoring saint poets Kanakadasa as well as Maharshi Valmiki in Vidhana Soudha near Bengaluru. In addition, he inaugurated the luxurious terminal 2 at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).
